My new planners and Stuff.

A few weeks ago I read about the coolest planner on Kelli's blog.
She said she got hers from the Erin Condren Store.
So of course I hopped on over to Erin's store, and fell. in. love.
She makes the neatest things.  Some great stuff to help you keep your life organized.

So, after some online browsing while sipping tea from my comfy chair while in my pj's, I decided what I must buy.
I bought the M-S weekly organizer note pad, and the life planner.
You can personalize your weekly notepad and add a picture if you want.  How cool is that?  Erin even told me she loved the picture I chose!  Aw shucks, Erin.  I love ya.
It came on the 31st, and it was all packaged so beautifully.  I savored opening every bit.  The sticker on the pretty red tissue paper, the handwritten thank you note for my business (you can betcha I will give her more of my business after that), the free tote bag, and an extra little something just because Erin's store is the greatest.
This silver envelope had 12 personalized labels (pictured left) as a thank you.  It made my day.
I was going to take 50,000 pictures of my new life planner to tell you all about it.  But it might be easier if you just go to Erin's store and see for yourself.  She even walks you through the planner via video.  Get ready to pull your credit card out.  Or your debit card.  Or your husband's debit card.  Whatever works.  ;)
I am loving this weekly planner too!
I am also loving that this week is not too crazy.
Although Hannah has to get shots tomorrow.
That might be crazy.

I re-read my end of the year/ New Year's post from last year this afternoon.  I made a small list of things I wanted to do/work on in 2010 at the end of that post.  I got all but two of them done.  Those two will get done this year.

They were:
-find babysitters
-new valance for the living room

I am actually really excited to get the valance for the living room.
Last night when Mr. Hass got home from work we re-arranged our entire living and dining room areas and I love what we did.

We moved the kids play kitchen upstairs and what's that I hear?  Angels singing.  No more children's play things taking up large spaces in MY living room.  It also seems more fun to them now that it is upstairs.  Imagine that.

We also moved our dining room table so that it sits diagonally now.  My Mom suggested it, and why we didn't do this sooner I don't know.  It makes the space seem bigger, and now I think I have a spot to put that hutch I've always dreamed of. You know, the one I envision in my head but probably won't be able to find anywhere.

I'll post pics of the progress soon.

This morning my Mom offered to come sit with the kids so Mr. Hass and I could run out alone to check out a coffee table I saw in an ad for Cost Plus.  (Thanks Mom!!!)

We got there and I was disappointed.  It was shorter in real life than it looked in the ad.  So we went to cruise around the new furniture store Jerome's that I've been dying to check out.  Did not find a coffee table I wanted, but did see some bunk beds that might be in the girls' near future.
A quick check to see what's on sale at BevMo... nothing good.
And then we went to Pier1 just to look.
Good thing we did.
They had one I liked...
But it cost $300.
But it was marked down 50%.
BUT, it was the last one and no other stores had one and it was a bit dusty and scratched.
But I do own some pledge I thought.
And, they said they'd mark it down even more,
and I figured the second it was in our house it would have legos, bristle builders, and tea cups on it anyways.
So the sales lady took 25% more off the already 50% off, (I quickly flashed Mr. Hass my radiant smile and batted my eyelashes his way) and we said we'll take it!
Luckily, the girls approved.

One more thing before I go!
To all my momtog friends out there, a blog friend told me about this free online photography class that lasts the month of February!
(Thank you Stephanie!)

All you have to do is sign up, and it's free!
I think it's going to be a lot of fun.  Check it out!
Thank me later.  ;)

You are a wealth of good information. A free photography class how perfect. And I am in love with your planner makes me sad I just bought a boring old one from Target. It's too much to justify buying a new one just because it's cute right?

Love the coffee table, your new header and great post as always!

Oh. my. I'm salivating over that planner. And yes, husband's credit card will definitely do the trick. :)

Hi Genn,
Love the new coffee table, looks like it fit right in. The price sounds perfect too. Life calendars are great too. I might just need to get me one of those.
My sister in law took the pictures of us. The one of each of my kids I took with with my Canon powershot G10. We wanted to do family pictures while Kents other sister was here from Washington. So we just winged it and they came out pretty good. I have to get her memory card so I can post more pictures.
Have a good week, Traci

I can't wait to check out the site. I am NOT a "planer" type person, but my mom has been looking for something to help her keep organized and it is screaming Mel's name as well, haha. Don't ya just love to rearrange a room? I use to do that A LOT! We actually rearranged our living room a little bit after we took the tree out as well, and it is MUCH better. Don't know what I was thinking before, haha...OH, and I love the coffee table. What a bargain price. ENJOY

I love that Claire has made herself comfy on your new dining room table!

Ohhh, those planners are yummy! I'm in the market. Trying to organize the crazy in my life. I think I'll head over and see what she's got!

Great new coffee table! We didn't know what to do with our dining room table and finally one day we just turned it another way and it fit perfect! It's so weird how the solution is just a rearrange! Can't wait to see pics of the changes!

Ooh I'm gonna look into that class! Thank you!!!!

The planners look cool! I love that stuff like a big nerd! Her site has a lot! Thanks for always sharing the coolest stuff!

You guys should totally go bowling! It was fun since it's been so cold- I've never seen the ramp for the toddlers before but it's cool, and one game was the perfect amount of time. I bet Hannah would dig it

I love your new organizer/calendar. I am going to go check out her website. I would love one of those for our fridge, with Boyd's little picture on it! :)

We desperately need to find a sitter too. In almost 3 years, we've only had family watch Boyd. I keep saying I will do this, and keep putting it off.

I love your posts because they are always so full of beautiful pictures and lots of "mommy" stuff that I can relate to.

ps. I'm still laughing about your moon dough comment on my blog. How ironic! Seems like everyone is saying the same thing about it too.

Hi Genn,
Love the planner and just the whole thought of organization. I have a theory about organization...it's a gene you're born with. I wasn't born with it so I have to fight for every ounce of organization I can get. It looks like you have it perfected. Love the coffee table...good shoppa and just a darling post.

I too am going to have to look into the planner... I have an obsession with them and cannot ever find one that I LOVE... That one looks phenom!

I love the coffee table, I am also on the hunt for one and if it's sturdy enough for legos and Claire I say it's a perfect fit :)

Ooh, I love it all. I love lists, and planners and calendars. However, it is even greater that they are personalized. I don't blame you for being excited.

Cute new coffee table. We just moved into this house a little over a year ago and got a brand new coffee table...however with 2 boys it is now all scratched up. I even make rules about it, however it still looks like crap. I have decided to give up on nice looking furniture until my kids are out of the house, or at least a little more grownup. haha.

Hey Genn,
Lots of stuff to tell you.
I love these organizational tips from you. If only I could do better at writing down. I always think for some reason that I can just remember everything in my brain... and the older I get the more I see that is not so much the case! So, I should check on these weekly organizers and notepads... and love that they are personalized!

Love your new coffee table. Don't ya just love getting a deal...even if there are a few scratches. I am like you. I can live with a scratch or two on furniture...especially with kids!

Yes you should get the Shutter Sisters' Expressive Photography book. It's really good.... it is geared really more towards thought-provoking in photography and helps to get the mind thinking about composition, lighting, etc. And I have had the Understanding Exposure book for about a year now and I LOVE that one! You are right... there are some neat tricks and alot of aha moments when reading that book. I am learning alot from it too! I have actually read it twice... sometimes things sink in more for me the second time around. ;) I may even read it again here soon.

Hope you're having a great week there! :)
